Sivi Bakthavachalam, AKA Dr. Baktha, originally hails from Colorado Springs, Colorado where he grew up and learned to enjoy all the outdoor activities that life in the Rocky Mountains has to offer. Once having decided to pursue a career in medicine, Dr. Baktha studied and trained at some of the leading institutions across the country in Boston, Chicago and Dallas, finally ending up in the great city of Atlanta.
Today when he is not seeing patients or in the operating room, Dr. Baktha spends time with his family in Dunwoody, scoping out local events and activities or escorting his two little ones to various toddler princess birthday parties on the weekends. He continues to ski, bike and play tennis whenever possible and enjoys scoping out new restaurants throughout Atlanta with his wife and fellow restaurant aficionados. As an established southern transplant, and a resident and member of the Atlanta community, Dr. Baktha laughingly admits that “the Denver Broncos are still my favorite football team.”
While accomplished in all areas of pediatric otolaryngology, Dr. Baktha focuses on complex head and neck surgery and the role he can play in the management of complex airway diseases, particularly in pediatric airway reconstruction with open and endoscopic techniques.
