Brian Herrmann MD
Dr. Brian Herrmann graduated from the University of Iowa with honors in biomedical engineering before entering the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1993. Graduating medical school with honors, he completed his surgical internship and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at St. LouisUniversity in St. Louis, Missouri. This was immediately followed by a two year fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at WashingtonUniversity in St. Louis, Missouri. During his fellowship Dr. Herrmann dealt with the full range of tertiary problems, including pediatric hearing loss and cochlear implantation, chronic ear disease, complex head and neck disorders, pediatric airway reconstruction, and sinus management. Dr. Herrmann has authored numerous articles in the medical literature and has lectured both locally and nationally on a number of pediatric ear, nose, and throat topics.
Dr. Herrmann joined Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat of Atlanta in July, 2004. He enjoys treating a wide range of pediatric otolaryngology problems, with a special interest in pediatric otology and cochlear implantation.
Dr. Herrmann was recently named Medical Director for Hearing Loss at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). He will help oversee the program at CHOA to treat children with hearing loss within metropolitan Atlanta, as well as throughout the state of Georgia.
Dr. Herrmann is a diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology, having received his board certification in 2003. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Herrmann is married with two children. In addition to keeping up with two busy boys, he enjoys running and playing golf.
