Meet Geoffrey Aaron, M.D.
Growing up, Dr. Geoffrey Aaron had dreams of becoming a rock n’ roll musician. He never imagined that his love for music would eventually lead him to pediatric otolaryngology. While growing up in Indiana, Dr. Aaron found an appreciation in music playing the stand-up bass and bass guitar. He learned several different genres including classical, jazz, and of course, rock n’ roll. Medicine was never really on the career path until through a course of random events, Dr. Aaron eventually ended up working as a medical assistant in a local ENT office. Finding a way to combine his interest in music and sound with his new found interest in medicine, Dr. Aaron knew his career path was taking a different direction early in college.
Dr. Aaron graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in his hometown of Marion, Indiana, with a degree in psychology. From there, he graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Medicine. For his residency, he decided to branch out and move south to warmer weather. He completed his residency training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Aaron stayed in Birmingham to complete his fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Children’s of Alabama.
In 2017, Dr. Aaron decided to stay south and joined PENTA. Besides joining a well-established practice, Dr. Aaron and his wife, Elizabeth, (along with their cat Reese), were attracted to Atlanta for all of their interests outside of medicine. The Aarons enjoy catching concerts at the local small venues as well as the bigger shows as they come through town. They enjoy all things outdoors and escape to the north Georgia mountains every chance they get to explore the beautiful trails and mountain tops, with the Jeep top off, of course. Dr. Aaron is a fan of all sports teams from Indiana (Hoosiers, Pacers, Colts), but he has also become a Braves and Atlanta United fan. He has also “adopted” the Auburn Tigers as his SEC team through his wife.
Dr. Aaron is a board certified otolaryngologist through the American Board of Otolaryngology and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology. His interests include hearing rehabilitation through cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing aids and complex head and neck masses. Dr. Aaron is currently accepting patients at our Main, West Cobb (Marietta), and Hamilton Creek offices.
